Best Family-Friendly Hotels in Orlando, Florida

The Grove Resort & Water Park

Starting us off is The Grove Resort and Water Park – an all-suites, lakefront resort that offers all the comforts of home, especially for those traveling with their family. Located just a few minutes from Disney’s front door and surrounded by stunning Florida wilderness, The Grove is an excellent place to stay during your time in Orlando.

When you aren’t visiting the fantastical theme park just down the road, plenty of activities at this resort will keep your family entertained for hours. The Grove boasts a full recreation team that organizes plenty of family-oriented activities, like scavenger hunts, all-ages dance parties, crafts, and contests.

As for the rooms, all the suites in The Grove are decorated with very modern furnishings, complete with king or queen-sized beds. Each suite has a kitchen, full-sized living room, washer, dryer, coffee maker, and two bathrooms.

WiFi comes included in your resort fee, and there are plenty of plugs for charging devices. The Escape Spa offers a full menu of facials, massages, and body treatments for parents. So, while the recreation team keeps your little ones entertained, you can enjoy a few hours of pure relaxation.

When it’s time to grab a bite to eat, consider getting a table at The Grove’s Valencia Restaurant. It’s a charming little restaurant with views over the lake and pool, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus daily. It’s an especially attractive option if you love Mediterranean cuisine.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

If you’re planning on visiting Disney World in Orlando (which, if you’re not, you should be!), consider booking a stay at the Four Seasons Resort. Located within the Walt Disney World Resort itself, staying at this hotel means you’ll have a much easier time booking park tickets, shuttles, and activities using the Disney Planning Center.

One of the Four Seasons’ greatest benefits is its huge rooms with state-of-the-art amenities and incredible marble bathrooms. There are no resort fees or hidden charges, which is a huge plus if you’re trying to budget your cash, and some balconies at this resort have fireworks views. Truly something to behold.

If you’re traveling with a young child, rooms are available that come with cribs to make putting the baby to sleep a little easier. These cribs can also be moved around, so you can have them closer to your bed. And when you need to find some entertainment for your little ones, the Four Seasons Kids Club offers the perfect solution.

There are plenty of adult-centric activities around the resort for the Mums and Dads on the trip. There’s a jacuzzi and spa to offer some brilliant relaxation and an adult-only pool for you to cool off in on those scorching Orlando days. For the kids, there’s a Kids Splash Zone, two waterslides, and a lazy river to float down.

When hunger strikes, you’ll find plenty of dining options. The Four Seasons at Disney World offers an Italian restaurant, rooftop steakhouse, Cuban restaurant, two bars, and a quaint little coffee shop.

Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites

Next on our list is the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites, a family-friendly, all-suite resort with plenty of kid-focused facilities. It recently received a makeover in 2016 and now boasts a stylish, fresh look throughout the entire resort. If you plan on visiting Disney World or Universal Studios, this Holiday Inn should definitely be on your radar.

The suites here are wonderfully spacious, and most offer several rooms to give you and your family a little privacy when it’s time to sleep. Each suite also boasts its own cooking facilities, allowing you to take advantage of grocery delivery and prepare your own meals from your suite.

You and your family can have fun at the resort’s two waterparks when you’re not visiting one of Orlando’s many theme parks. These parks feature large pools, plenty of adrenaline-inducing slides, and gentle splash features for the kids. And when it comes time to visit your favorite theme park, you can enjoy free shuttle services to and from your hotel.

Dining options are plentiful at the Holiday Inn. The resort offers five on-site restaurants, most of which are located in the resort’s marketplace.’ You’ll find a pizzeria, a coffee shop (serving up Starbucks coffees), a deli, and an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet that’s completely free. If you want to dine outdoors, you can enjoy a dip and a bite at the poolside bar-grill eatery.

The resort’s other notable features are its free WiFi, fitness center with modern equipment, ample parking spaces, and a Kids Club that will entertain your little ones for hours.

This hotel appeals to families of all sizes, and its massive lazy river pool is excellent for keeping children entertained. When it’s time to relax, consider stopping at the resort’s beautiful spa, complete with a quaint cafe that offers refreshments.

This fee covers everything the hotel considers ‘extras,’ like access to the fitness center, WiFi, and shuttles to the theme parks. However, staying here does offer the benefit of giving you access to all the amenities at the neighboring properties.

Perhaps the most attractive amenity that JW Marriott offers is a huge 900,000-gallon pool, which accommodates all kinds of guests. The pool is more than large enough to fit the whole family, while several towel huts offer fresh towels and inner tubes to use on the lazy river.

Other dining options include the sports-oriented Frankie Farrell’s on-site, offering some hearty, simple meals that will fill you up for cheap. Perhaps the greatest food option that the hotel offers is its on-site Pizza Hut Express, which even operates through the resort’s room service. That means pizza delivered straight to your bed – what’s not to love?

If you stay here, you’ll likely take the family to the nearby amusement and theme parks. If so, you can enjoy complimentary shuttle services to Sea World, Epcot, and Universal Studios, courtesy of La Buena Vista. Do note that reservations are required.
