Besides being a beautiful oasis for swans, ducks, and geese, the park offers plenty of exciting children’s activities. Its features include a BMX track, dual lakeside walking and bike trails, soccer pitches, and a traditional bowling green to keep you and your little ones occupied and entertained.

Moreover, it offers great views of the famous Samson and Goliath Cranes and has handy parking in the Titanic Harbour.

Cave Hill Country Park

Take a walk on the wild side with three circular walking routes of varying distances. It offers unmatched views from the top of Cave Hill, where you can view the sprawling city, Belfast Lough, and the Mourne Mountains.

Streamvale Open Farm

Streamvale is the ideal spot for families looking to learn and play together. With cuddly animals, play areas, and dog agility shows, you’ll find a long list of activities running throughout your day.

The farm offers a fun “Digger Zone” for kids to be a builder for a day. Bottle-feeding lambs and cuddling pet rabbits sounds equally as exciting as it is adorable, and you can do that here! Fancy a free tractor and barrel ride? Streamvale will take you on a beautiful countryside ride around the farmyard to enjoy fantastic views over Belfast and Dundonald.

Window On Wildlife

One of Belfast’s popular outdoor attractions, Window on Wildlife, abbreviated as WOW, which is exactly what you’ll be saying when you set your eyes on the thriving wildlife seated in the heart of the Belfast Harbour Estate – just 10 minutes from the city centre.

Get some fresh air and catch a break from the hustle and bustle of Belfast City to see a huge diversity of wildlife. The reserve has a variety of butterflies, fish, plants, and mammals to see and is home to over 200 different bird species.

WOW has two hides for viewing, both constructed from shipping containers to tie in with nature’s surroundings. You’ll have helpful and enthusiastic staff and volunteers to give you a hand with the binoculars and telescopes and answer any questions you throw their way.

With a chance to spot the resident konik ponies grazing or the lapwings bird taking a bath, who wouldn’t enjoy this wildlife escape?
